A Sunny Summer Weekend
This past weekend I had the best time enjoying the lovely weather we've been having, and trying to fit in as much as possible. My summer resolution, now that we have fewer restrictions, is to take up as many opportunities as I can, and say yes to as much as possible. I really took that to heart this weekend, and ended up having the best time!
I started off by visiting Mr Basrai's in the Fountainbridge area of Edinburgh. Frustratingly, I forgot to take a picture, but I had a great time at this international buffet. It was a bit strange, as you have to be served the food, rather than getting it yourself, but it was super delicious and we had a lovely time chilling out eating as much as we could!
Still on Friday, I also enjoyed a lovely walk around Butterdean Woods. Located in East Lothian, these woods are so beautiful; every corner you'll find a new photo spot! There are also some fun art installations around the place for you to explore as well. It was so nice to be out and about in nature after having spent so much time in Edinburgh recently; it was so relaxing!
On Saturday, I set up a picnic in my garden. This was so much fun to put together; we put out rugs and blankets for everyone to enjoy, and I bought a spread of different snacks for us to have. We had a fantastic time relaxing in the sun with some good food (which seems to be the theme of the weekend)! I highly recommend putting a picnic together for a casual sunny afternoon.
In the evening I went to go and see A Quiet Place Part 2. I won't go into details as I'm not a film review blog, but it was amazing. I was completely hooked the entire time. The acting was phenomenal, the script was fantastic...it was perfect; go and see it!
I then ended the weekend relaxing at home, playing some video games and getting ready for the week ahead. I had the nicest time this weekend relaxing, doing exciting things, and eating lots of great food! I'd love to know how you spent your weekend!
