Father's Day 2021
Another year, another Father's Day! This year, I thought I'd document how I spent the day to give you some inspiration for things you could do next year! Regardless of whether you have a father figure in your life or not, I hope you all had a lovely day!
So my dad very kindly paid for our dinner out on Father's Day proper (which I normally pay for as my gift), so this year I went a different route and ordered a graze box to come the day before Father's Day. This was amazing...you had everything you could possible want in this box! There was bread, cheeses, quiches, brocolli salad, falafels, you name it, this had it! It was a fantastic gift and went over really well, so I recommend this as an idea for your own gift!
On the day itself, we went to the Ray Harryhausen exhibition currently on in the Edinburgh Modern Art Gallery. I hadn't heard of this artist before, so it was cool to take a look at something I knew nothing about, and it was nice to do something a little bit different.
From there, we all went our separate ways to have a little shop around Edinburgh, and then came back to enjoy lunch/dinner at Miller & Carter. If you don't have one near you, it's a slightly up-market steakhouse that has amazing food. It's a favourite in our family! While everyone else went for steak, I went for nachos (I'm not a huge steak fan), which were so yummy. And of course, we had to end the day with a HUGE dessert!
And that was it for Father's Day! We all had a lovely day, and I highly recommend doing some of these activities next year if you're looking for new ideas. I apologise that this was a bit of a shorter blog post today; I'm currently moving (ahh!) so everything in my life is in a bit of a rush at the moment, but everything should calm down again soon!
