Father's Day Gift Ideas
Father's Day is coming up soon, so today I thought I'd share some of my favourite Father's Day gift ideas. I also thought I'd go in a slightly different direction, and focus on experiences and intangible gifts you can give someone, rather than things you would wrap up and present. It just makes things a little bit more unique and special! As such, I hope you enjoy and get inspired!
1. Homemade Breakfast
It's a classic for a reason! There's nothing more personal than getting up early and making a breakfast of dreams! Spending time putting together a fry up, or some pancakes, or a fruit salad, can be a great way to start the day, and is something that has had effort go into it. If you want to go all out, I recommend also buying some napkins, and maybe a nice smoothie to go along with it just to make it look even better!
2. Outdoor Movie Night
Another fun way to spend Father's Day is through an outdoor movie night. Since the day falls in June, it's normally nice enough weather to be able to go outside when the sun is setting and put something together. This one obviously depends on what kind of budget you're working with. If you're looking for something a bit cheaper, you can put a laptop on the grass along with some blankets and snacks; maybe a couple of tea lights as well! If you're looking to go high end there are lots of fun tents and outdoor lighting you can get to make it look like a festival, as well as outdoor cinema screens and projectors!
3. Lunch/Dinner Out
Again, another classic, but it's a great way to spend some quality time with someone. Choose their favourite restaurant, or somewhere they've never been before, and get the family together (or 1-1) to enjoy a nice lunch or dinner. I tend to go for somewhere that's a bit unusual, that they wouldn't normally go to, just to make the experience that bit more memorable.
4. Games Night
This is another fun one, and it's much easier to do on a budget. Either buy a ton of card and board games, or make a quiz! Either way, you can have so much fun getting everyone around the table to play games. You could even make a scoreboard and get some prizes to increase the stakes! Another way you could take it is to make it a casino night and add some fun props as well!
5. An Experience
The ultimate Father's Day gift (in my opinion) is an experience; something you can both enjoy together. Some examples include; golfing at a driving range, going axe throwing, or solving an escape room together. It's a great way to spend the day, and is guaranteed to ensure some laughs and some memories as well! The other great thing about this is you can choose something to fit in your price point; it could be racing in formula one cars, or going for a walk!
And that does it for my Father's Day gift ideas! I hope you found them useful. I'd love to know if you have any ideas of your own; please share them!
