My Candle Collection
I've always been really interested in candles. I know it sounds a bit strange, but candle collecting and blogging is a huge thing, and I'm super into it! While I don't have much space to store lots of candles in my flat, I sure do try to keep as many as possible. So today I thought I'd dip my toes into the candle blogging world and share my current collection. I hope you enjoy!
This candle is a classic, at least here in the UK. You'd be hard pressed to find someone who hasn't owned this candle at least one time in their life. Now I'm personally not a huge fan of The White Company's packaging (I think it leaves a lot to be desired), but I must admit it smells fantastic. Full of cinnamon, clove, and orange, this just screams Christmas! It's also got a fantastic throw, so it will fill up a whole room with its smell. It's a Christmas essential!
Speaking of Christmas essentials, this is my favourite winter scent. Another cinnamon, clove, and orange creation, it admittedly does smell similar to the White Company version, but it's throw is even larger! It also comes in a wide array of packaging which I appreciate as it means you can choose the version that best suits your space. I buy one every year!
Moving on to autumnal scents, I picked up this candle during my time in Florida. This is a great candle if you want something that reminds you of autumn without being heavy or full of pumpkin. This is a light and refreshing scent, reminding you of crisp fall days. It of course smells of apple, but also has a strong cranberry association to me for some reason. Bath and Body Works candles always have a fantastic throw. This one is a candle I can't have on for too long though, as it does give me a headache after a while. B&BW candles always look fantastic as well; they're a great display item.
My second and final autumnal candle is Autumn Woods, again from Bath and Body Works. It has all the advantages that the one above has, as with all B&BW candles. This is another fresh scent; it's super light, and reminds me of walking in a forest after it's rained. This might just be my favourite B&BW candle that they do; it's a must have for me every autumn.
Moving on to summer smells, this candle certainly isn't for everyone. It's got an incredibly strong artificial banana smell. Now I love the smell and taste of artificial banana, so this is right up my alley, but I appreciate that it isn't for everyone. This is an incredibly strong smelling candle, so I only light it on rare occasions, but it's a great, summery kitchen candle.
Okay, I might have lied before when I said 'Autumn Woods' was my favourite B&BW candle, I think it might be this one. As soon as we hit the warmer months, I'm lighting this candle all the time. It reminds me of my childhood, and smells sweet and florally. I'm not a fan of sweet smelling candles, I tend to go for musky or florally ones, but this sits right on that line perfectly. According to the website, it is a mix of daisies, pink peonies, and apples, and I think that sums it up perfectly!
This is such a warm smelling candle. While the packaging again isn't my cup of tea, it's hard not to love the smell of this. The best way I can describe it is it's like being in a hug. According to the website it smells of parma violets and smoky wood, and I think that just about sums it up! That being said, it's also incredibly light and refreshing, which, to me, makes it a perfect summer candle.
I know, I know...I have far too many B&BW candles! I agree! I just think they look the nicest and have the best throw...sue me! 'Flamingo Beach' sounds like it would be a summer smell, but I actually categorise it in with my spring scents as it's got such a light, fresh atmosphere to it. Comprising of orange, berries, and white petals, it's hard to put my finger on how I would describe this candle. Whenever I light it the room feels lighter and fresher, so it's a win in my book!
One thing you should know about me is that I love the smell of roses. Anything rose scented, I want it! This is another fantastically light and fresh candle. Comprising of rose petals, ivy, and musk, it's everything I look for in a smell. This is a great candle to light with guests over, as it smells nice without being overpowering, and it's hard to find someone who doesn't enjoy the smell!
Unfortunately, I couldn't find this one listed any more. This candle is special as I don't burn it, but rather just keep it for decoration. It's a beautiful candle with glitter on the top. Full of fruits, lily of the valley, and white musk, it smells amazing. I'm sure I'll have to light it one day!
I also have a fair few wax melts that I enjoy using, so I thought I'd share them here too! All of my wax melts are Disney-themed, surprise, surprise! It's the reason I got a wax melter in the first place!
'Floridian' reminds me of spending time in my favourite hotel, The Grand Floridian. It's a heavily perfumed smell that makes me so happy when I smell it. The smell is of aloe and fresh clover, and I am obsessed.
Smelling of roses and sandalwood, this is an incredibly floral smell. Again, it's very strong, but it makes the room feel cosy, and reminds me of a warm summer evening, which is beautiful!
Lavender, amber, and rose gives this wax melt an apt smell of something ethereal and out of this world. It really pulls me back to being on Flight of Passage...so nostalgic!
Full of apple, melon, and orange, this is an incredibly refreshing smell. This is my favourite smell out of all the wax melts. It reminds me of being on a tropical beach, despite never having been on one! I feel instantly relaxed when I smell it.
And that does it for my collection; I hope you found this interesting! I'd love to know if you have any recommendations for candles, wax melts, diffusers, etc. please share!
