Summer Mood Board

You may have seen that earlier in the year I put together a Spring mood board. it was a really fun, relaxing thing to do, and gave me some goals for the season ahead. So I thought I'd do the same thing for summer, and as promised, it was a lot of fun! I recommend doing it yourself if you're looking for something to do!

This Summer I've focused on bright colours, and spending time outdoors. If I'm honest, I'm not much of a Summer person. I much prefer the cold weather of Autumn and Winter, but if this past year has taught me anything, it's that it's important to size the day and take any opportunity you can get, so my goal is to take advantage of summer!

You'll see on the bottom right I've focused on going to the beach. I'm fortunate enough to live in a country that has nothing but coast, so I want to take advantage of it and spend time at the seaside. This links in to the top left picture of a sunset over Edinburgh. I want to enjoy the summer sunset, which is so beautiful, so hopefully I'll get to spend some time at the beach on a summer evening!

Right in the centre there we have some delicious looking fruit. I want to carry on with the healthy choices I've been making so far this year, and really enjoy the beautiful food that summer brings, particularly fruits and vegetables. I also want to enjoy them at picnics (see middle right). I can't think of anything better than enjoying the summer sun outside with some nice food!

Top right I've included some sunflowers. To be honest this isn't for any particular reason, I just thought it fitted in nicely with my aesthetic. I also have some good memories of summers in sunflower mazes, so it carries something nostalgic for me as well!

Top middle we have a road trip. I'm hoping that restrictions will be lifted in the summer, and I can spend my weekends exploring new places and trying new things! I have a couple of trips planned this summer, which are represented by the last two photos. Middle left is of York, in England, which I'm hoping to get to explore in July. Bottom left is of Centre Parcs, where I'll be (hopefully) enjoying my birthday!

And that's my mood board! It makes me so happy looking at it, and I can't wait for summer! As I said, I recommend making one yourself; it's so cathartic!
